I had tried them before and liked them, which is why I picked up some more from Ivaylo (Mask) (Ivaylo, hope you don't mind me saying in your thread about how I liked the tubes and service I got from you

)

I have limited tube rolling experience relative to many out there, but I feel that the RFTs are a great all-around tube. I don't think they highlight any area in particular, but are a good, honest, solid, well controlled tube. I am using them in my VAC pre and was using them in my VAC amp as well.

Methinks they'd do well in the EE dac, as one other poster said in the EE thread.

Just got 2 quads of 12au7 from Ivaylo, RFT and Tungsram.
All is well, they are phase splitters in my 6v6 pp amp and they have a little tighter delivery than the mullards I've been running but are still smooth sounding.

There are several RFT's, some Tungsram's, Telam, Polam, one Telefunken, one Miniwatt. I think this is it. If you are interested, please let me know in which exactly (looking by the test results), because I just sold some 4pcs. of them.

1. Mullard EL34=6CA7 xf2 - NOS (new old stock), never used with "Philips" - "MiniWatt" logo. Made in 1960's in Blackburn, UK. Black base, welded plates and double "OO" getter. - 24 pcs. @ 150 USD each.

2. Tesla EL34=6CA7 - NOS (new old stock). Brown base, welded plates and "OO" getter in crossed position. Vintage production, made in Czechoslovakia NOT JJ! Original boxes. - 6 pcs. @ 80 USD each.

3. Mullard EL34=6CA7 xf2 - Used/Tested: Tube 1 - 82mA, Tube 2 - 79 mA. With "Philips" - "MiniWatt" logo. Made in 1960's in Blackburn, UK. Black base, welded plates and double "OO" getter. - 2 pcs. @ 95 USD each. SOLD TOGETHER!
