I just picked up one of these and draped it over my plasma which is on the wall between my speakers and the improvement was big.Less reflections. More music and detail.I normally do not go past 10:00 on my preamp but now 12-1:00 is nice.I aready have some acoustic panels on my front stage and this was a nice addition.

Understood but it was only 19.99 plus shipping and it came the next day
Evan,

Those look and are described like typical movers blankets.  Never thought about using one of those.

They can be bought cheaper and from local locations.  Here is a cheaper Amazon source:

Got mine today from the cheaper Amazon source, ordered last Sunday and it came from ID to NJ.

Damn Evan, you were right.  It does make a difference.

And it does have an odor as another poster mentioned, so it's in the washer right now.

I paid extra for no ODOR

One wash and dry cycle and it's fine.  Soft and cuddly with some Bounce.

I'll have to see if the second one I've ordered from another source (from MD, heavier weight) is different.  It's noted to be a 'sound blanket'.

Yours was listed at 7.5lbs.  I hope your kidding 'cause I don't think any of these are really different from one another.  I actually need these when I'm transporting cherry veneer plywood and such.

Hey Browntrout.....is that a pair of Cabasse Farrella 401 I spy there?     :thumb:

Blast from the past!  Years ago, early on in my hi-end journey, I heard the 401 driven by VTL (or maybe Sonic Frontiers?) at a NYC dealer and was mightily impressed.

So much so that over the years I have come oh so close to buying a pair of Catalane 500's that have popped up occasionally on AG.  Priced at around 25% of original list, the value on those big boys looks absolutely off the charts.  For one reason or another, I've never pulled the trigger.

Too bad that Cabasse has kindof moved away from high end audio and more towards HT and surround sound stuff.
