I am an audio guy so I am reaching out to you all for HT help.

I'd appreicate recommendations (including if you have something appropriate to sell) for

1. Pre-Processor with latest HDMI Switching
2. 5 Channel amp

Most likely we'll be using GR-Research five AV speaker setup
with 2 subs (undecided)

Likely Projector: Sony - VPL-VW50 DILA

Budget ~$3500 for both - new/used/discounted/whatever ...

Depending on your needs and other equipment, you might research the just announced Denon S-5BD Bluray/AV receiver combo! It has 5 channels of amplification (preouts for surround back/front height), profile 2.0 BD player, HDMI 1.4 (3 inputs), USB digital iPod connection, network streaming, zone 2 function, etc.

The remote is a POS, and the unit is a bit pricey for what it is, but it might just fit your needs. Its a slick piece of gear for sure.
