  As a general statement I disagree. It is fun for me to read other experiences others have had. When it comes to component selection I agree as all reviews are flawed and it is subjective to the listener. What is good sound to one may not be good sound to all. The easiest to cite is SS vs tubed gear. We could go on all day long with the praises of both. in the end it is all moot. You like what you like period.
   I have learned about room acoustics, speaker set up, clean power and other basics. After that it is the individuals perception of the sound that matters. there is NO best IMO but its fun finding out.

Definitely should have been added right after the choice "I'm a moron please don't ask my opinion" and could have read "He is a moron, this thread is pointless". 
 
As it sits, no choices are applicable for me. I have been called a moron and this is my opinion.

Might be that needed to be understood from the outset somehow cause leaving it to interpretation seems not to have led it the right way.

It's pointless for sure, that's why I hardly talk about Hi-Fi anymore.  Actually I should, because talking about Hi-Fi is much easier than actually listening to my stereo system, which I hardly do anymore.  Damn you, my bad life decisions!
