Bryston mini mono blocks

I believe this was mentioned quite awhile back, if Bryston has considered  a line
of Bryston mini SST2 mono blocks.
Besides all the bigger monos 7s+28s,I think some mini monos would be Superb.
I know I'd buy a few for my surrounds and maybe split my main speakers,
bigger monos on the bottom and two more minis for the top, just cause we can.

Hi James,perhaps 150 and up to say 300 -400
I was thinking it would be nice to have just a smaller single channel amp than
having say a 3Bsst(2channel)in one box.
I do know you have the power pacs, but having that in a cabinet with a faceplate,to me would be quite nice I think.
Yet again, maybe there is no demand for such a pc ..

good idea, drummer! mono versions of the 2b, 3b and 4b in a "sst2-c" style would be nice...

And then make her half as wide and perhaps not as deep.
First watt same as the last, only in a compact chassis.
They'd look pretty classy in smaller systems or in any system for that matter.
Maybe with those mini Maggies 8).

I think they'd be pretty cool.  Kind of like the Marantz monos a while back, only without sounding and breaking like Marantz!!!

A 2B and 3B monoblocks are really great!!
However a bigger chassis is always better than a small, due more space between the parts and less electrical interferences.
I look forward to this releases...

They are maybe not in the form factor you are looking for, but would'nt the Bryston Power Pac's fit that bill?

I have seen the powerpacs, but I do like the faceplate handles look, eye candy+
performance :thumb:.I suppose a special order is out of the question.
I could only imagine the price as to the extra work involved, everything would be basically half the size.

Hi Robert,it might as they would be a specialty item.
I'm no technician but taking half of a 3b-sst or 4B-sst and making it into a mono block(which I believe both have total separate power supplies),
I imagine making a smaller chassis and the extra messing about with the electronic side of things might make her a bit more money, maybe, maybe not.
Not every body has space for separate amps, especially fullsize mono blocks as
they will go with a 2,3,4 or 14 for what space will allow or that they like 2channel,which we need for stereo.
It would be a specialty item for sure, wish I could take a pict of a Bryston amp
and compress the width of her 19" down to 10-12" and add maybe an inch of height and shorten the depth.
They would work well in small rooms(I have one)they would like superb and with one channel of a 3Bsst or 4bsst you definately wouldn't be hurting for
power all in a compact package.
Robert can you visualize your 4B-sst2 half the width,an inch higher and maybe 6" shorter(WITH HANDLES).Quite visually appealing I think.
Besides having enough power they would be very attractive and I bet your wife would like a couple as mine would also and they can lift them :thumb:.

I liked the idea at first too. But now with sst/sq "first to last watt philosophy" it kinda puts to rest the need for lower watt power amps. I guess their might be a budget issue that could sell them but i dont think they are needed sonically.
