Stop It!  You're killin' me!  :inlove:

This whole episode is Tiger's life and none of my business, but if it were captured on video - I would have to watch it!

One thing I sincerely cannot understand is why so many magazines sell all this celebrity gossip stuff, and there are so many of them.  Like to ones paying a squillion dollars for some celeb's baby photos and then their circulation goes through the roof.

Now I am interested in MY family's baby pictures but let's face it, babies look like babies yet they clearly interest an awful lot of people.  I personally could not care less about Tiger's relationship with Mrs Tiger, it just isn't any of my business, maybe it's a guy thing, but I just don't care, let alone actually paying to read about it!

It's not just the media making a big deal out of this thing, but the law.  If I have it right, he crashed HIS vehicle on HIS property.  That's HIS business.  It's not like he ran over someone trespassing on HIS property (although he should arguably have a right to do that).  Nevertheless the cops gave him a ticket for $164 and 4 points against his driving record.  Mountainous molehills in Florida.

FWIW, I (sort of under the influence) crashed my car on my property into a vistors car.  Never was charged.  But that's Canada and we have right to drive the way we want on our property. :green:

I thought the crash was outside his property on property of the private home association that owns the land.  Or that was my impression, but I'm not really following the situation -- I just see the bazillions of headlines.

I was talking with a friend yesterday and I thought the police should have no involvement.  My friend commented that he damaged a fire hydrant which would allow for police involvement.  Don't know but they did charge him and he received 4 points against his license.

There was an interesting article in the USA Today this morning.  The writer explains that we are all human in that we want to know the details about what went on with Tiger in his home prior to getting into the car.  The writer also points out that why we are curious we have no right to know that information.  Basically, he claims it is a personal, private matter and it is none of our business.

I read the article and found that while I have speculated on what led up to the accident I had to agree with the writer.  The events are interesting because Tiger is a bigger than life character but what happens or has happened in his home in none of my business.  However, I know we the general public and the press will not go away quietly until we have some explanation!  It is just human nature!

All this really proves is just how tacky the news is.  On a daily basis a group of morons sift through the trash and determine what is and what isn't news worthy.  We are essentially force fed by a select group of simpletons who think everyone reads the tabloids.  I couldn't careless what Mr. Woods does or doesn't do.  It doesn't affect me in the least.

Why then would you even look at a topic titled "Tiger Woods' Accident"?

These sorts of distractions are explored and exhausted to keep us from watching the people who are harming us. They bought all of the media with the intention of biasing reportage, controlling what is reported and how it is couched, and keeping us busy with inconsequential drivel. Part two involves pitting against each other so that we don't focus our anger on them, where it really should be directed.

If you are interested in the depth of divot mark on Tiger's face, this may also interest you.

Coming on E-Bay will be a long lost "film" of Marilyn Monroe being Norma.

"I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means"

...bet if he hadn't had the affair(s) he would'nt be saying that...instead he'd be going to Disneyland. Fame is kind of a two-edged sword.

Terrific :thumb:

A beautiful, discreet wife, two (seemingly) healthy kids, accolades as the world's best golfer in history and the undisputed world's most highly paid athlete....and you have to find one more thrill in your life and have an affair with a 31yo LA waitress (and possibly others).

Some folks ain't happy with 'enough' 8)

Tiger, you reap what you sow....and you ARE a public figure and very much open to scrutiny by all.  Would you have really come forward if proof was not on the text messages?

Next time I goof I've got my scapegoat to soothe my ills and can take solace that even Tiger Woods screws up :icon_lol:

I haven't kept up with this story beyond the fact that he crashed.  Until an hour ago when two female co-workers pulled me into the office for lunch and blindsided me with the whole "Do all men cheat..." question.  Apparently, they thought Tiger was better than that.  I really didn't know what was going on with him but I caught an ear full for lunch that's for sure.

I really don't care about these things and it's a private matter but I honestly don't understand why public figures do this stuff and think no one will find out.  It makes no sense to me.

Hey, it's truly not easy to be a successful, rational, loving husband and superstar personality all at the same time when fans and admirers are telling you how amazing you are and beautiful women are just begging to be with you. All us Bob's know that from personal experience, right  :thumb:

Fame does go to your head and sometimes a little slip needs to happen to bring you back down to earth. Well, maybe this wasn't so little as it turns out, but at least noone was killed (yet).  :flak:

All he may lost are some endorsements  :rules: but he's already got enough banked to last several lifetimes. This too will blow over.

These are coming fast and furious (send to Joke of The Day if needed):

Apparently, the police asked Tiger's wife how many times she hit him. She said, "I don?t know exactly, but put me down for a 5."
If the only person that can beat Tiger is a blonde with big breasts, it's time for Phil Mickelson to bleach his hair.
What's the difference between a car and a golf ball?  Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards.
What was Elin doing out at 2.30 in the morning?  Clubbing
Why did Tiger crashed into a fire hydrant AND a tree? He couldn't decide between a wood and an iron.
Why did Phil Mickelson call Elin yesterday? To pick up some tips on how to beat Tiger.
What is the penalty for getting it in the wrong hole? Ask Tiger, he knows.
Tiger drives very well on the fairway but doesn't fare very well on the driveway.
Whats the difference between a golf ball and a caddy? Tiger can drive a golf ball.
Nike wants to drop their endorsement due to accuracy problems. Apparently, Tiger's spraying his balls everywhere.
It turns out that fixing Tiger's game and fixing his marriage both require the same thing: better control over his putter.

What will the headline be if they prove it is domestic violence? TIGER'S WIFE MAKES THE CUT
Tiger just changed his nickname but still kept it in the cat family. Cheetah.
Elin Woods has a twin sister named Josephine. Know how to tell them apart?  Elin is the one holding the bent 5 iron.

I got an e-mail from my wife at 2:04 with no topic.  It just said, I love you.  I am good that way.    Not so with electronic toys, though.  I am a slut with them.

Now that Tiger has been linked to 3 different women, Elin is probably going to want revenge.

So I have volunteered to have an affair with Elin to get back at Tiger. I don't want to do this, but I'm going to do it in the interests of saving their marriage and getting Tiger back on track to winning.

No, no, don't thank me. Just the thought of helping others will sustain me through this distasteful chore.
