It is tuning system based on physical properties of highly symmetrical crystal structures, they significantly improve dynamic range and lower distortion of an audio system.
See details at: http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina31.htm
There is even a white paper written on them: http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina17.htm
If you remember, Byston managed to transform their PA system at the office into highly resolving system by using pebbles along with Clever Little Clock.

Man, I'd love to listen to those Tannoy's.   I've only had the chance to hear them once in a tube system and they were simply marvelous. But I really like the looks of this design. I live only 80 miles from the Canadian border, my great grandfather was french Canadian, yet I've never been to Canada myself.

Anyways James, awesome setup, congrates!  :thumb:

Cheers,
Robin

TUBES! :)

james

Hello James,

That is awesome converting a solid state amp to a Tube hybrid design. I also like to design equipment and I have recently modified my MPS-2 (please see photo). I wanted to improve the AC filtering capacity of the input stage. The only problem that I have with my MPS-2 modification is that when I turn it on - it powers all of my electrical equipment in my house (even the stuff that is unplugged)

It turns out that I made a mistake in my mathematics and forgot to carry a decimal place :duh:

Now I have to start all over again - oh well, back to the drawing board
