Thanks for the well wishes Hank, I hope you are correct.

I believe the AV3 will be around the same price as the N3, which flatpack for them would be $72 each not including shipping.

I can also do just fronts/backs if people choose. The front/back flatpack combo for the N3 would run about $48 each.

If I remember correctly from my first build it took me about 2 1/2 hours to make the pieces for my AV3. With that and material, let's do an estimate and see if I would be saving you all any money compared to time.

2 1/2 hours at $25 an hour = $62.50
1 hour for sheet pickup = $25
2 gallons of diesel = $6.25
1 sheet of MDF  = $30

So not counting your back aches carrying that sheet around by yourself or setting up tools and tool cost plus MDF dust everywhere, the AV3 would cost most of you $123.75. For an extra say $30 you start right into your build with all you having to do is thank the UPS driver.

I am fairly sure I have replied to everyone, if not, please call me out in here so I know to make sure to reply.

I did some test cuts tonight on the AV1 front and rear baffles and to say I am pleased would be a vast understatement. The holes and pockets are within .001 of their intended size and depth and all of the lines are nice and crisp. I have pictures and a video going up to youtube once I finish post processing it.

Hopefully have more good news tomorrow, I am going to cut some AV3 and AV1RS for myself, and if they are good, I will start taking orders for them.

Thanks for all of the support and patience!!

What kind of format would you need plans in?  It would probably be easier for me to throw together a cad file than explain what I am looking for.

I'm interested in a pair of AV-1RS.

Ok, I have not had time to cut out the prototype yet to be able to give pricing info and make sure I drew everything up correctly. Once I do I will open up ordering for them :D

I now have all of the current GR-Research models drawn up and will be willing to give pricing info in a couple of hours. Like I said, these prices are intro prices and then depending on whether I am covering costs I will raise or lower them accordingly. Will have a full price list by this evening at the latest (including the Super V)

Replied to you persisting1

Ordering will be opened up on Monday, November 16th.

Everyone,

I have been really happy with the excitement so far, but I want to take my time and make sure all of my drawings are correct. I will be personally cutting each one of these enclosures with the cutlists and drawings I have made. I don't want to accept ordering until I know that all the measurements are good and that a premium quality product can be ensured. Below are the preliminary prices for all current enclosures from GR-Research. If you need something custom done (and I know some of you do since you have PMed me) please feel free to contact me so I can draw it up and give you a quote.

All prices are introductory prices only. If I feel I can make the product for cheaper, I will pass the savings on to you. If I am killing myself for peanuts, I will raise them.  They are per enclosure, and do not include shipping.

AV1$21
AV1RS$34.50
AV2$39
AV3$72
AV3S$32
AVO$82
N1$28
N1X$31
N2X$31
N3$72
N3S$35
0-3$104
OB-5$148
OB-7$185
OB-7$185
Super V$205
SW 12B$78
SW 12 04 Sand$104
SW 12 04 Sealed$78
SW-OB$43

Thanks, hope do business with you all soon.

:edit:

I am also open to just doing the front/rear baffles, and can give estimates for those if they are in high demand.

I will also be able to offer 1" and 1.25" enclosures or just the baffles at 1" or 1.25" The cost is about twice the amount and so is the machining time, so I am not real sure if it is worth doing, but I am willing to estimate for that as well.

I have to say I am impressed with the swiftness you have made your calculations, cut a few prototypes and arrived at a game plan.

I do think you could change the AV1RS to $35.   ;)

Wow looks great.  I would add a Neo3 Center.

Like I said, I have been there, I want to keep costs as low as I can.

One person PMed me and asked if the kits contain grilles. They do not since I cannot make them on-site.

I will mock up a Neo3 center (there are no current plans of one that I know of) and add that to the list. My guess is it would be close to the AV3S.

Thanks for all the compliments, I am going to do some more cutting tomorrow night and hopefully start getting kits ready for ordering.

swaggs21, I would add a caution about shipping, especially for tower size parts.  They will be heavy and therefore require very good shock-absorbing packing materials, as they WILL be dropped in transit.  The resulting overall package dimensions may not be accepted by UPS.  You might try what Danny used to offer:  half tower baffles.  Ex:  if a tower is 40" height, offer a piece ~20" height that includes the driver cutouts, then the blank bottom 20" piece, so that you're only shipping a 20+" package.  Same for the rear - bottom half with port and terminal cup cutouts and top half blank.  Just a suggestion.
Also, for folks to get shipping charges, when you've got your final shipping packages dimensions and weights figured, post them so folks can go to the UPS web site, plug in the info along with their zip code, and get the shipping charge in reply.  Just another suggestion.

Completely agree Hank. I will see if that is acceptable to everyone and if it is I can make much smaller boxes that way. And I know how UPS is, you should have seen what they did to my 8020 when I was first building my CNC Machine.

I mocked up the N3S, but I see there is an official for it. It will be $35 for it. I will update the table now. :D

Here is some of the custom carving I was speaking of. This is done on the outside of a Super V. Obviously this is something very simple, but with my software, my design sky is the limit (Sky celing 5ft :o)

The styling of these just blow me away, Danny did an amazing job.
