A picture of my favourite speaker:

I have spent some hours listening to the above setup. The picture was taken by a friend of mine.

The shop has now sold the MC 2KW amplifiers (MRSP is $105.000 in Scandinavia !).
A picture of the buyer's setup:

Greetings from Scandinavia to all Canadians: Bryston owners and all the rest.

The firstly depictured speaker is by the way a JBL Everest DD66000 (costing approx. $60.000/pair),
while the bottom speaker is the Sonus Faber Elipsa (costed $20.000/pair in 2007).

I would loved to hear to JBL's driven by far more affordable electronics.

In 2010, I audiotioned the more affordable JBL K2 S9900 ($40.000/pair) hoping it's performance would come very close to the JBL Everest DD66000. Although the S9900's without doubt are really great, they were far from as great as the DD66000's. In fact the difference was so huge that if I am to upgrade my speakers (in 10 years time, maybe :) ), my living room will contain the DD66000's.

In near future, I will audition Tannoy's flagship, the Tannoy Kingdom Royal. The expectations are rather low, though, as an audition of the less expensive Yorkminster was disappointing (missing the JBL punch and bass). I also hope to visit the person with the Sonus Faber Elipsa and MC 2KW (with an open attitude).

Best speakers ever heard: JBL Everest DD66000.
Other excellent speakers: Infinity IRS Beta (unfortunately not for sale any more), Soundlab Majestic (think it was the Majestic... Great mid range and upper range. Novice bass), JBL K2 S9900 (great).

A pair of its little brothers is on order:

Nap,

Audio-One had one of these in the system when they had the SP3 demo.  Truly a 'moving' experience.  With the volumes it went up to at times I am surprised the building did not suffer any structural damage.  I really liked the sub during the demo; it was very clean, went lower than you can hear (but you could feel) and moved a lot of air.

I've heard TWO of these in action and it was awesome. But since both my room and budget are smaller than my dealer's, and I also wanted two, I went for its smaller brother the SUB 1.

Nap.

Not to mention that you avoid the need to run the two 220V lines :o required to run two Sub 2's!

P.S. James - since they just introduced this awsome award, maybe you could send them a pair of 28B's for next year's review?

Nap, are you going to put the SUB1's in your HT setup or your Paradigm 2-Channel system?

I was thinking the same thing but I decided that the best thing to say would be, "Everything looks real nice Mister Napalm."

Or maybe a quote from a Lynyrd Skynyrd song:

"Oh, won't you give me three steps
Gimme three steps, Mister
Gimme three steps towards the door"

Ryanz if you look closer you'll be able to identify one of each guns that were featured in Call of Duty MW  :green:

Nap.
I wondered briefly if you meant  Modern Warfare 1 or 2 but judging from the sheer size of your personal armoury, the answer is obviously both. :eyebrows:

I can name all of them on the left and the top, and a few on the right. Do I see a AT4-HS? And what is that monster to the far right?  :o

The Everests are the best speakers I have ever heard (and they are in my opinion best on everything: bass, mid rangre, treble, dynamics etc.).

This person has five  (!)  JBL Everest DD66000's for his home theater:
