Werd,

i think that a BIT would be upgrade 'enough' ? hmmm...

al.

Hi

If you are using your gallery speakers with the ribbons.... the 14B with a bit or torus (whichever faceplate you want) would be a big improvement. The 14b is just so relaxed with less noise. Its got tons of jam too. Those ribbon tweeters will love it, I use ribbons on my Az's.You don't need a big Bit an rm10 since the new 14Bs come with those Torus transformers, just plug it into the wall and use the torus for everything else. The 14B is like two components in one, the torus and the bryston in one box. Unless you really like to crank it up (LOUD) then i wouldn't get the big Bit and save money.

You obviousily love Bryston so you should get into the higher lines in amps. Its a nice upgrade..... :thumb:

I see two components there (bcd and 4B) that will help fund it. You are really close thats why i mention it. Exactly what i did.

Lots of very interesting album art posted in “What are you currently listening to?” The album by Nightwish reminded me of a photograph of a favourite cemetery statue theme.

Be well...

Puuuuh...
I just managed not to buy the TAD Reference One.
It was very hard!
The shop sent me an offer (although I said I had decided not to buy now).
I was then thinking a lot on it (again!), before the final decision was taken.

Yes, TAD R 1 is that good. And they even look great.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post. I live in Japan, and teach English at university here. I'm originally from Montreal, tho.   :)

Here are a few photos of some of my nice things. (BTW, James, thanks so much for your help with the amp situation. Will be mailing you directly beginning of next week.)

FYI, the TV is a Sharp Aquos Quattron 46 inch. I also have an airport express feeding the BDA-1 with the tons of lossless music files that are on my Mac Pro (located under my desk in the adjoining room). It's very convenient, but not surprisingly, CD's played on the universal player which is connected to the BDA-1 with a Black Cat Veloce BNC cable, sound significantly better.

Thanks,

Peter H. Budden

P.S. All photos taken with Nikon D300 and Tokina 11-16mm F2.8.

@ James, larevoj and Robert, Thanks.  :)

And, I'm afraid the distortion of the ultra-wide angle lens may be fooling you all. The speakers are B&W 805 Matrix's and the stands are the Sound Anchor's specifically made for the 805's. Living in a Japanese flat, where the dimensions are fairly narrow, the only way I could shoot this set up was with this lens. ;)

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday (here it's already a rainy Monday morning in the Tokyo area).

Peter

This is me (right) at Thomas Hoehne's (left) house while picking up my Sovereign Director in Germany last week. Thomas is the owner of Sovereign. He collects Ferraris.

The gold bar on the white box between us is part of a monoblock. It is in the Guiness Book of World Records as the tallest monoblock in the world. It does not come cheap though... A stereo set is almost 100.000 euros.

I actually just spotted they have gone up a bit, and since january 2011 are 119,900 euros a pair...
