good stuff Bob. :thumb:
May we ask for a closeup shot of one the panels highlighting the contrasting corduroy fabric?

Also, since I think a few of us are frugal here may I ask what will become of all the circular cutouts?

Your room looks as good as ever.

Hey Bob,

Nice work indeed. I still have to come out and listen to your system sometime. Looks great!

  Thanks guys.

As many of you have come to know me over the years, I've never had a problem with being shy or having a lack of something to say. So when Steven approached me about writing for ETM I jumped on it.
I now know the definition of writers block.  :|
I stared blankly at my screen with nothing to say. When the letters slowly began forming words, they seemed forced and unnatural. Writing that article sucked. I felt like I was in school again.
But I wanna do it again....go figure.
Reading it the other day was painful. It sucks so bad it's embarrassing.
I'd kinda like to do it all over again...

Anyway, thanks guys for the accolades....  :thankyou:  (I've always wanted to use that smiley)

Chris, Yes. I'll get you a close up. If all goes well, I'll get it done today and post it here. I didn't take pictures of the "during" phase of wrapping the material. I didn't have an article in mind when I was building.

Robin, thanks for the link to my thread. The pictures are MUCH larger there. When I gave Steven the links, I didn't know he was going to make them so small.  :(

Rick, Anytime Brother. Come on out.  aa

Thanks to all for the very kind words, but especially Steven Rochlin for publishing it.  :thumb:

Great job, you don't do things by half, impressive. You must have saved well over a thousand dollars doing that by yourself! :thumb:

Very nice job Bob.  I'll definitely be referring to this thread again when it is time to finish my treatments.  It feels like I am 90% done and 90% to go.

Thanks.

Tom, thank you. I know what you mean about 90% done, 90% to go. I feel the same way. I think most of us do.

Mr. Trout, yea. I'm not sure what this would have cost to have done professionally, but I'm sure the shipping for the finished product would have been almost what I spent on the entire project (my apologies to our resident manufacturers/distributors).

May we ask for a closeup shot of one the panels highlighting the contrasting corduroy fabric?

Also, since I think a few of us are frugal here may I ask what will become of all the circular cutouts?
Here you go Chris. Just for you buddy.
The PartsExpress speaker grill fabric, and the bulk Walmart corduroy.

If memory serves, there was something like 440(ish) circular cutouts. I couldn't think of anything to do with them, so they're in a landfill now.

My wish is that I push a long time "fence sitter" to finally treating their room. The difference isn't subtle. It is, by far, the single best thing I did in this room. Strangely enough, it was also one of the least expensive.

For the less inclined among us that have no desire to make 400 little wooden circles and learn upholstery techniques, our resident acoustic folks can sell "bags" (or "pillow cases", if you will) to cover the panels. They even have pretty ones with pretty pictures.
