treating projector screen wall

I have built 2 corner wedge bass traps from atacoustics mineral wool and built a frame for them and covered them with black burlap.  I also bought on a whim, some of that 2" foam with wedge design built in and they are 1' square.  I wish to border the front wall between my bass traps and also border the projector screen with this material.  Would a person run them with the wedge running across the width or vertical or is a random wanted here?

When the front wall is done I plan to work on the side walls and rear wall.  I still have one box of 2" ~3pound density rock wool left to make some 2x2 or 2x4 foot "picture frame" style absorbers.  My room is 16x32x7.5 with projector screen and speakers on the short end.  I would have some leftover acoustic foam squares also, some in charcoal and some in maroon color.

It doesn't matter which way you orient the ribs on the foam, they don't do anything but look 'better' than a flat piece of foam and make the overall thickness thinner (read more HF only absorption).  You should cover the entire front wall with absorption in a multi-channel setup.

Ok bpape, thanks. My room is in the basement, the ceiling is completely covered in 6" Pink owens corning fluffy fiberglass.  Carpet on entire floor with good padding underneath.  I'm certainly no expert on this stuff of acoustics.  My thoughts were that with that insulation and carpet along with the bass traps, I should have a pretty good handle on the bass part now.  I admit I am trying to pretty it up a bit around the screen and front wall.

Right now I have nothing at what you guys call first reflection points, other than carpet and the ceiling insulation, nothing on walls, and they are smooth painted cement and one wall is 2x4 with shiny wood paneling the complete length other than 2 doors.

Thanks, and I am trying to get a better handle on this acoustic thing.

Here is a couple of pics of what I did so far for room treatment.  My lighting is bad for taking pictures.  I made the bass traps in the corner from ATSacoustics rock wool from their 2x4x2" cut in half then cut into triangles to make 24x24x32" triangles.  I made a frame then covered it with burlap, then used springs and hooks to keep them tight in the corner.  I then used the foam wedgies and put them on the front wall between the bass traps and all around my projector screen. From the foam panels left over, I made a pattern on each wall.  I have done nothing yet on my back wall yet, have been busy working late hours.

The bass traps really helped.  It sounds more even.  I have no test equipment to test anything, other than the audyssey on my Marantz 5003.  I'm using 2 X-tatik for main fronts, 3 x-cs for center and surrounds, and 2 MFW 15's.  All speakers are from AV123.

Any pro's or con's on what I have done, or should do?  LOL I am in no mans land, in western Kansas.  I either have to mail order or drive 250+ miles to get to a large city to hear anything audio related.

Thank you guys very much for participating in the forums here helping all of us.
