WTB Biwire speaker cables with bananas
« on: 18 Oct 2009, 06:05 pm »
I'm looking for some very modestly priced biwire speaker cables with bananas on the speaker end. 8' minimum length. If you have something laying around that you want to get rid of, please let me know. Thanks! :D

In case no one comes up with the used goods, RAM Electronics has some modestly priced cables using either Liberty OFC or Canare 4S8 or 4S11 wire with BFA bananas or locking bananas.

Here's a great cable for the price. http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=AQSLANF
I find solid cables give the most natural presentation JMO.

srb, thanks for that link to RAM, I ordered a longer PC with a right angle receptacle for my tv (shielded with Belden cable and a male Wattgate end, linked below...the regular right angle cord only came in a 6' length), and a longer HDMI cable from them.

Very nice, good quality and reasonable.  I just made a post in the AVA Circle in the thread "IEC receptacles on AVA amps".  Although the thread started to get off topic toward whether or not cords made a difference in sound, I said:

"I'm not going to doubt those who say that the cords make a difference in their system that they can hear, so I won't make fun of them.

However, I do choose to make fun of those who spend many hundreds to well over a thousand dollars for a power cord.  That amount of money spent to buy an amplifier, computer, turntable, or washing machine, yes.  For high-priced power cords, the materials, assembly and intellectual design property simply do not justify the cost."
