I finally went to a local store that sells used comics, DVDs, CDs, and LPs. I was looking for CDs, but at $5.99 it won't be my first shopping choice. So I started looking around and saw the LPs. Most were listed from $1 to $4. Mostly older classic rock and some country music. So ended up with 6 LPs.

Magazine - Heart
Dog and Butterfly - Heart
Bebe la Strange - Heart
Pieces of Eight - Styx
Eve - Allan Parsons Project
Christopher Cross - Christopher Cross

All for $1 each.

I will probably go back there again soon. Now I just need to get a turntable so I can play the LPs.

Wow Delta Wave, quite a great haul. How is the MSFL First, Last & Always? I noticed that they will also be releasing Floodland.

I don't think they could have made it much better short of the band re-recording it... not the best recording in the world. But good music none-the-less. The last copy I had of it was on cassette after all... lol.

Looking forward to the MFSL Floodland. That was the biggie album of theirs for me.

I went to 4000 Holes today to pick up the two Jellyfish albums, one on green vinyl and the other blue. First time on vinyl in the USA. Also picked up the new Fray album.

Got my Jellyfish! Side One second album is good. Stuck at work for a nice 16 hour day so no vinyl today.

Today was day one of the annual audio and video fundraising sale by KPBX (our local NPR station)Doors opened at 9 am and I arrived about 8:40 and already there was a pretty good crowd waiting to get in. I, along with most every one in line made a beline for the rock section when the doors opened. I saw a box with plastic sleeves on all the covers and started thumbing through it. Most of what is shown below came from that box. all the records were in MoFi sleeves or a plastic lined paper sleeve and were immaculate--near mint or better. And all for $2 each (this is as close as I get to the $1 bins  ). I found an original pressing of Townshend & Lane's Rough Mix and the Cruisin LP in other boxes. All in great condition, just needing a little cleaning.

The sale takes place in the Masonic Lodge auditorium and was a zoo. After about an hour, the boxes were so picked over that I decided this housl was enough. The two Elton John's will replaced copies I abused in my youth and the Paul Simon was in too good of shape to pass up. The others are new to me (except Rough Mix, which I have the Classic Records reissue).

I have the "first" album on order:
http://www.audiobasics.com/acatalog/Elton_John__Elton_John_-_LP.html#aCRLP005
From Canada. I never owned it before, I have several somewhat noisy copies and of course the Brit is supposed to be the best as UNI "screwed it up."
Fremer reviewed it recently but it is not available in the States.
