9B fuse issue

9B fuse issue

Hello
 
I use the Bryston 9b-st and it had down 3 times when I started the power.
The fuse was blew and the inner fuse is 250V F2A, I using 4 Ohm speaker.
What's the standard fuse spec? 2A or not...?
I take it to fix and the fixer suggest to change fuse to 3A.
Is it a good solution?
My english is not so good and hope you can understand.

Looking at the 9B ST schematic, it specifies 2AG-2A fuses.

Give James Tanner some time to see this post, and he or his technical crew will have some more information for you.  I would only use 3A fuses if the Bryston service department directed you to.

Hmmm.....

The latest revision (I think) (page 2 of the pdf) on the Bryston site seems to have 3A fuses :scratch:

As well, the first post relates to a Euro version (240 v), so that could make a difference. This is a query for Mike & James for sure.

Yes, what I said and what he (Keith) said:  Don't do anything with those fuses until you TALK TO BRYSTON!

I am in Taiwan and use 110v.

I spoke to engineering and they said do not use anything over 2 amps as it is there to protect the rest of the circuitry.

I will suggest you don't use any electronic whose power is above than 2 amperes.
