Denon DL 103 and BP 1.5?
« on: 2 Oct 2009, 10:40 am »
James,

the BP 1.5 standard gain of 22.5 db accomodates cartridges with outputs of LESS than 40 ohms impedance. the Denon DL103 has 40 ohms impedance. good idea to try this cartridge?

thanx,

al.

Hi Al

No the Denon is higher than 40 ohms and the moving coil stage in the BP1.5 should be switched to the 16.5 gain setup.

James,

the Ortofon mc-cartridge "Rondo Red" has the following specs:

...recommended load impedance: 10-200 ohm.

should the BP 1.5's adjustment (for this cartridge) be 16.5db OR 22.5db ?
