Hey guys- as i've mentioned, been working with Rives on a L1 design for my large living room.
Just about 90% there and a big thank you to the GIK folks for assisting on the Art Panels (and some other panels in the room). The ceiling tiles i just had installed really complete the picture---we're talking big change here. I would highly recommend folks experiment with them. In my case, i'm using 4 diffusion/absorption tiles and 2 pure absorption tiles in the rear. It may have more of an impact because of my 8.5' ceiling---which is on the low side.
In the front of the room, you can see 4 huge poly diffusers---and a Rives bass trap. i wish i had room for another bass trap...but have too many open spaces into this room.
The back of the room in incomplete---as i'm taking a break. but i am going to add 2 more bookcases and a rug at a later date. i wanted to get all the construction items done for now (i used a carpenter)
As others often talk about here, this has literally been the biggest upgrade to my system with the exception of speakers (which interact with room, so makes sense). I heard a 50k system a couple of months ago which paled in comparison to the sound i'm getting with a little pair of Dynaudios and BAT integrated.
Cheers,
KeithR
