You sell your "old school" rear projection 53" Sony TV to a guy.
...and the punk kid that comes with him to help load it that's reading the rear panel says, "Damn dude, you realize this unit was made in 1995? That's...like...ancient man....You sure you wanna buy this"?

I wanted to say: "Yea, I bought that TV brand new, two years after you were born, back when you were still crapping in your diapers. It cost me over $3,000". You little ungrateful, unappreciative, punk, freak. The day YOU buy a sleeper sofa, a loveseat, two end tables, and a bigassed TV for $350 I hope you've gotten some respect for your elders you little bitch.

But I didn't.

And I can't believe I consider myself old enough to be anybody's

Wow, guess I was aged in junior high school. I love those buffets!

You know your getting old when your wardrobe veers towards "comfort" vs. "fashion." And you know you're getting really old when your wardrobe veers towards "comfort" vs. "anything even close to resembling fashion."

...and when you realize you've been listening to the same old handful of albums for decades.

But that's just an observation. I'm not really that old. Really.

Screw getting old! That's why I'm going back to college @ 50. The grim reaper is gonna drag my ass out kicking and screaming. How does that poem go?... 'go not gentle into that good night'....or something like that.

BTW: I heard the Moody's 3 years ago at the Arronof in Cincy and it really suprised me. It was one of the best sounding shows (in terms of mix, tonality, etc) I've heard at a rock show. Too bad the OP's experience wasn't the same. Could have been the room.

I dunno Doc,,,, gentle into the night sounds pretty damn good option to me.

But what made me feel old was seeing all those rock & roller's that I grew up with on The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert last nite. Seeing how all my rocker idols from the 60's had aged was a wakeup call to my own aging.

The concert sounded great but the visual wasn't pretty,, especially in Mick Jagger's case.

Yeah, Robin, but despite their wrinkles (or ours), those guys are out still out there kicking ass. Hat's off to that attitude. Funny though, that their drug of choice may now be ibuprofen or celebrex!
