Mad MR H,Don't laugh. My speakers are passive, but I thought MAYBE experimenting with the Bryston 10Bsub that I could improve my sound.
What I found no matter what I did(using bith Highpass+lowpass, the bottom end I liked alot. The highpass,no matter where I had the settings, the mids, highs were compressed and lost alot of space around the instruments
.I did searchs of trying to find out if people had tried active X-over with passive speakers).Could not find one,so I just bought the 10B so i could find out myself.I still want to try just the lowpass and not use the highpass on 10B for my subs.Of course then I have to
purchas 2X3 metre cables.Have you tried active X-over with passive speakers.
Any thoughts on why it can or can't work would greatly be appreciated.
