First I thought the spot is from the window. I saw a shot the other day from a car which I should have taken - when I had my friend pull over I could not get what I had seen.

But...I think you may be right - I see the spot on the shot from the deck also.

Yeah, I noticed it on the last couple of shots...some dirt got on the mirror the last time I switched lenses .  I think I cleared it, so we'll see what happens in my shots tomorrow...

Hey!

Yup, you've got yourself a dust bunny on your censor.  :?

Anyway, don't worry most of time this is easy to get rid off... believe it or not sometime it just drop off by itself. I think your DSLR have a feature that shake the sensor when you turn it off... but of course this sometime won't work.

But! Whatever you do don't use Q-tip or use you breath to blow it... or even can of compressed air. Just get yourself a good blower and try it first. A wet sensor cleaning method can be use as a last resource. :D

  I personally use this one...

   Good luck. :D

Hey, Buddy - those are mammatus clouds. There was a story about those appearing over NYC on June 26
google "mammatus clouds" for some amazing info and images - like these:
http://www.hprcc.unl.edu/nebraska/june2004hastings-mammatus.html

These are by far the best images of this type of cloud I've ever seen.

cheers, Russell

Hey!

Yup, I checked picture data and yes it was taken on the June 26th. I've never seen these type of cloud before not to mention here in NYC. :o

I wish I wen up to my window to see it a few minutes earlier maybe it would have look even more puffy. Anyway, it didn't last long I'm glad I got this shot. :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Odd clouds over the Olympic Mountains make for an unusual sunset.

The clouds are not clouds but famous San Francisco fog.

I had changed the white balance for shooting a pic in my office, and didn't change it later. So this pic has the wrong white balance but I like it. This is unedited, just resized. Taken with the LX3, shot through a chain link fence.

Can't resist posting this "ultimate lenticular", even though I didn't take it:
