I was sitting at my favorite cafe and saw the clouds, went to my car and got my camera. Twenty minutes later the rain came down.

I love clouds too, I have a collection of 33 very high res skies so far.  Generally go out and take a photo every sun set (do a panorama stitch @75mp or so)

Hey!

It had been raining and storming a lots last month here in NYC. One day  after a quick strong storm rolled by. I noticed that my room turn orange from the light coming through the window. It was an eerily feel.

I went to the window than quickly grabbed my camera and got this. It didn't last long. :D I don't remembered ever see this type of cloud here in NYC

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Hey, Buddy - those are mammatus clouds. There was a story about those appearing over NYC on June 26
google "mammatus clouds" for some amazing info and images - like these:
http://www.hprcc.unl.edu/nebraska/june2004hastings-mammatus.html

These are by far the best images of this type of cloud I've ever seen.

cheers, Russell

Those mammatus are really awesome, I've never seen any in person, though.  ooheadsoo's harbor shot kinda makes me think of Albert Bierstadt paintings.
