I am running a pair of 7B SST in passive Bi amp mode per MB2 for the front L C R . And a singe 7B SST per rear MB2.

The BB5's will be runing
One 4B SST in bridge mode per LF driver
One 4B SST for the mids
One 3B SST for the HF

Will be a Lexicon MC12B v5 with room EQ as the pre

I hope to add a BCD-1 for CD playback.

BB5's are ready for delivery,
Final rack should be here in about a week ready to start change over to new system.

Might be a few cables short, just trying to work that out, I use Kimber Select KS1130 interconnect and Kimber Select KS3038 speaker cables for mid and HF.

I have Kimber XL for the bass at the mo would like one day to change to KS3033.

Andy.

Hi,

I am waiting for the last black ash rack for the cinema system, then will post pics - looks bad as I have a loan beech rack in the middle of five black ash racks at the mo.....

The BB5's and stands arrived TODAY

I can use the PM system on the forum , no idea why at the mo.........

I need to take James up on his offer of the 19" rack kit for my last 3B SST - I also want to order four silver 19" center twin LED fronts to Zebra the four amps for the BB5 rig........

Couple of mains power units still to arrive and ten I need a new CD player for the 2ch system.......

All takes time so slow progress........

Had minor issue with the 12v trigger system over the weekend (see other post)......

But pictures will be posted.......there are a few on other (UK) forums at the mo.......

You WILL seethem here,  BUT with James here I would like to posr "nice" pictures........

Andy.

As asked some pics.........

Not tidy, not finished! but up and running in........

Still waiting last black ash rack and a couple of mains items........

Speaker angles not set etc.

The old speaker system is stacked in the room so I can get wide angle shots at the mo! or of the rears........

All taken with flash as the room is 100% light controlled, all walls and ceiling are acoustic foam covered in non reflective fabric.

BB5's and stands are now out of boxes but protective covered so I cant photo at the mo - Need to re arrange that room at the weekend Tannoy Buckinghams & PMCBB5's in the same room leaves very little room to move !!!

And UK rooms are small !!!

Feel free to ask anything, Thank you for viewing.

Andy.

Nice MrH, truly dream systems you have there.  Do you have to give the electric utility company notice before you power up? :)

This is a tri-amped system?

The Cinema room is PMC MB2 all round, the  front L C R are all Bi Amp, the rears are single amp per ch.

Front left and right each have 7B SST per Bass, and 7B SST for mid/hi.
Front Center has 14B SST running bi amp

Why? well the Onkyo have front L & R bi amp outputs, But only single output for the center - So the 14B SST with a little mod can take a single input to both chanels.

Rears are a 7B SST per cabinet.

The 2ch BB5i system is passive Tri Amp.

One 4B SST in bridge mode per bass driver.

One 4B SST to drive both mids (1 per ch)

One 3B SST to drive both HF (1 per ch)

Sorry for the long winded answer!

Almost - I doubt I can have both systems on at the same time

I am in the UK so with 230v instead of 110v the current draw is half, thats a great help  :)

That's an excellent system... the clarity and uncompressed output of the Bryston 7B/MB2 combo is hard to match... that mid-range driver driven by a 7SST amp is a treat to listen to... enjoy!

any luck with the pics?

btw i believe that's some fairly expensive gear altogether.... have you got insurance on it from anywhere, and if yes, from where?  As the cost of these toys builds up, i wonder if it's worth getting them insured....

Nice system there Andy.  :thumb:  I highly doubt you will need a subwoofer on your setup.  That's an understatement. ;)  I have heard a system like yours in a movie setup and I was floored by the sheer force.  The synergy with PMC/Bryston gear are just amazing!

I used to have a Denon 3800bdci and not completely happy with the Denon.  Blu-ray picture is great however the sound falls short.  Have you tried other players?  Hint: Pioneer BDP-09FD(usa) = BDP-LX91 in UK. ;)  You have an amazing gears I figured you need something better than the Denon.

These are unfinished build photos, install is in progress so not all kit in place, some waiting to go in........But the general idea is there......

RE SUB : I actaully have a pair of M&K 5000 MK2's under the rear MB2's - although not wired in yet......

I also have a pair of REL Sentor III's , Sadly not in black.

Do you like the center seaker in the 2ch room  :icon_lol: Thats my little joke..........
