This raises a question for me: how similar, sonically speaking, are the power amps? If a 3B is enough power for my application, will I be as happy with it as I would be with a 4B or higher?
Hi James,this review and many more raised the following question.Does the software volume control in BP16 and B100 is the only reason for not having balance connection as is mention in the reviewer.Next question is what type is the volume of BP26?Daniel
Thanks for the quick reply James.The question raised as there isn`t mention anywhere about the volume control of BP26.I understand from the posts in Audiocircle that the balance connection is only to eliminate the noise pick up in the hooked cable between two units and also ground loops.Daniel

Balanced lines prevent outside electrical interference from contaminating the signal due to common mode noise rejection in the balanced connectors and circuits at the source and receiving end of the product. The longer the cable run the more potential for noise pickup.james
