Hi Dan,

Hang to until Mike gets back to you as he is far more knowledgable on the preamp than I.

It could be very low voltage.

I have found the power system we all have is just getting worse and worse with all these computers, florescent lights and switching power supplies coming on line.

That is possible however my amp and CD did not have a problem coming on. I am using a 20 amp seperate breaker but who knows!?

I will keep an eye on it to see if it happens again and get back to you.

Thanks everybody.

I'm sure you have a Power Problem some where.
What other problems do you have ?

Just the BP20 & MPS-1 ?????

To much load on the breaker Unplug the Toaster !

Everything else was working fine except the pre. Like I said I have a dedicated 20 amp curcuit and regulator and I will give great credit to Hydro-Quebec as they do have one of the best sytems (supposedly!).

I turned it off this p.m. and just turned it on now and it worked as usual no problem! Strange but who knows? I will keep my eyes open for anything else unusual! I personally don't believe the unit itself has a problem so I am not worried and even if there is some sort of gremlin, I am still not worried as I will just pack it up and send it that is the advantage of Bryston!

Hi,

I did not want to post as I had this EXACT same issue from time to time.

BP20 or BP25 with MPS1.

And just like you say - did nothing and it comes back on !!!

Im glad to hear this happened without my mention of the same thing.

Adds weight to what I found without pushing you in that direction.

I also remember that IF it was in mute it would be orange LED not red.

I dont have a BP20 or 25 at the mo.
