Ok that opens another question....if OP is going to run a quality sub or two..why not throw HT1's in the mix? Would that be better SQ than the ST's or maybe even the HT2-TL's at a price point closer to the ST's?
That's definitely an option for those who don't have the space for towers.
I am not a proponent of adding a sub, and trying to get it integrated into the system.
And I too was looking at the HT1s just last night and wondering the same thing, how do they compare to the SongTowers

I have already given most of my opinion about them, but there might be a bit more info here.http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=44172.0Bob

I wonder if the gap would close between the HT1's and the SongTower RT's as far as HF accuracy and complete transparency goes? I need to hear the rest of the Veracity series (only heard the HT2 TL's)!
I thought about the Veracity QW before I purchased the ST RT, because I need a TL design, but the ST RT seemed like a better speaker for me. Then, when I learned about the HT2-TL, the Veracity QW seemed less attractive, price wise, especially since I purchased the HT2-TL when they were still in pre-production, and the price was a little less. If I could use a ported design, the V3 would have been very attractive, in part, because of their comparatively low price. I have never heard the V3, but BRM owned them and liked them, and BRM knows audio.Regarding a sub, would you still want a sub with a speaker with an F3 of 32hz? I just have a two-channel system, and I have never owned a sub, but I don't think that I would use a sub unless I really had no other choice because I have often heard that integrating a sub into a system can be very difficult and many systems that I have heard with subs, which might not have been set up properly, did not sound very good. I didn't use a sub when my main speakers were Spendor S3/5, which have an F3 of 90hz.
