(for you LI'ers and folks old enough to remember Korvettes )John
I guess this hasn't happened yet over the border .. I went to my neighbourhood bb and no vinyl as of yet
Are they now in ALL Best Buys?I went to my two local ones in the past month, and both did not have vinyl there then.I'm in/near San Francisco, where we have a couple thriving indie vinyl chains, so I'd think they'd have put them around here by now I, too, look forward to buying new records there....and gaining Best Buy Reward dollars, too I have not purchased records from a chain store since Korvette's left Mid-Island Mall in Hicksville, LI (for you LI'ers and folks old enough to remember Korvettes )John

Didja go to the record store on Old Country Rd in Westbury, a warehouse right next to Coronet's where Wantagh Parkway exit was located? I can still remember finding the last copy of The Move Looking On, possibly the last copy in America!Paul
I generally went to the one on Old Country Road in Hicksville that was housed in an old Wetson's restaurant building. It may have been in Westbury even...was that the same one you are referring to?
QuoteI generally went to the one on Old Country Road in Hicksville that was housed in an old Wetson's restaurant building. It may have been in Westbury even...was that the same one you are referring to?That was Titus Oaks....now a Dunkin Donuts...that was considered Hicksville.. The other that was mentioned....were guys that worked at Titus...moved down the road to the small shopping plaza next to Wantagh Parkway...and changed the name...which I have forgotten. But both are gone...and the Coronet is now a Century 21 department store.Mineola still has Mr. Cheapo's....Lp's,Cd's,DVD's....both new and used.http://www.mrcheapocds.com/Edit....The forgotten store name.....Music Arcade.
