We have a set for the PC, and when you play a CD, its not half bad, but I don't  have anything to compare it too. I would have to get a 6mm to 3.5mm adapter to try it, maybe thats where I should start. :D

I bought a pair of Sennheiser RS-120's for my mother.  I tried them out and they seemed pretty decent, but I didn't do any serious listening with them.

I have been using Amphony Model 2500 5.8GHz digital wireless headphones  for about 7 years. The sound is absolutely GREAT. I literally use them every single day, often for extended periods of hours and they work as well now as they did when I bought them.
http://www.amphony.com/products/h2500.htm

The base has optical & co-axial digital inputs, as well as adjustable analog inputs. There is even a built-in battery charger for NiMh batteries on the top of the base, and a high-speed data output so you can connect range-boosters.

Oh, did I mention that I absolutely love this outfit?   :)

I used to own the Sennheiser RS-140s and I would not recommend them for serious listening.  For casual TV watching and maybe some music while doing dishes or working out?  Maybe.  Reception can be spotty as you move away from the base.

I tried to use them for movie watching and music listening late at night.  The sound was a bit thin but the biggest issue was that any sort of bass threw them for a loop and resulted in an earful of hiss and static.  They don't handle low frequencies.

My 2 cents...

I totally agree with Caliope Home Audio's post (above). I used to have some wireless Sennheisers, can't remember which model.

Hey, I got 'em because when you see the Sennheiser name you think you're getting something worthwhile, right?

Those things were the biggest pile of junk! The sound and performance was so lousy I ended up just tossing them in a garbage can!   :x
