OK, so I'm not a newcomer to this hobby, I just have no idea where this should go now

I've been living with my RAW HT8 speakers for a couple of years now, probably the longest I have kept a speaker. I am now in search of something new. I want something with a larger, fuller sound. I'm also wanting something without a ribbon tweeter. I love it most times, but it really let's me know when I'm listening to a sub-par recording. I do plan to keep the HT8 around and like most folks, money is a little tight right now.
I am thinking of going used and there are a few speakers that have caught my eye. There is a pair of semi-local Daedalus DA1's for sale at a very attractive price. There is also a pair of Silverline Sonata III's up for sale on this site. I have not heard either speaker so I am hoping for some comments from people who have heard one or the other or both.
My room is 14' x 18' x 8'H and although fully treated with GIK traps, really sucks up the bass. I would be driving the speakers with a Butler TDB amp and using a Modwright Transporter as my source. Any information you have on these speakers would be appreciated. Oh yeah, my max budget is about 3k.
