I like this Stanley Clarke CD, but don't you think the recording is a little bit compressed? To my ears, it's got a pretty typical "late 80s digital recording sound". I hadn't played it in years, but after recently getting my speaker line and wanting to test out some bass recordings myself, I pulled it out...compared to more recent or older recordings, I was disappointed in the recording's relative lack of depth...
I uttely hate those bloody synth "bass for bassheads" car cd's..YUCK!
