I am considering running a LONG (15-20ft) coax digital cable from my VUDU (which has Pandora Internet Radio) to my BP26DA digital input on my 2 channel rig.
I have already tried said length connection using a "cheap" video cable and found it horrible compared to running a shorter "optical" digital cable to my HT set up which uses the same speakers (VMPS RM40s) and sounds GREAT

The short Optical run is clear and clean sounding (as much as Internet radio quality can be) but the longer run is AM Radio quality only if that.
The optical cable is 1m.
Optical is not an option with the BRYSTON internal DAC Card since it only accepts coax digital.
Don't really want to spend the money if the length is the problem and not the fact that I used a "cheap" video cable.
Anyone have any thoughts about perfromance limits at that length? As an AudioQuest Dealer I can afford to get a reasonably good quality VDM-5 (100% pure silver) cable.
