It *finally* cleared off enough to get a few pictures. Let's start off with the more expensive tube. Here's a picture of the tube and box together. Note that the tongue of the flap on the box is missing.

Here's a picture of the tube's date code. Hard to make out due to the overprinting, but it has a "B9" date code.

Now, here's the less expensive tube. It was stored in "less than perfect" conditions, so the box is in much worse condition and the tube is dirty. I have not attempted to clean the tube so you KNOW what conditions were like when it was in storage. Also note the oxidation on the pins. It is a simple matter to remove it, but I wanted you to see the tube in "as stored" condition. Note that the lettering is slightly distorted as well, due to dampness in storage.

Here's a shot of the date code:

Again, Mullard overprinted the white lettering, but you can see this tube has a "B9" date code as well. I hope this helps clarify things for you. Both tubes are NOS and test as new tubes. One is obviously "prettier" than the other, but both function WELL above nominal new ratings. The "prettier" tube has perfectly-matched sections, while the "less pretty" tube has a *slight* imblanace - that's why it's $25.00 cheaper! Either way, I seriously doubt you will find "fat base" NOS GZ34's anywhere else for these prices.
Since these are the "last of the breed" in my inventory, I have to "modify" my 90 day guarantee, because I obviously can't replace them. If either tube fails within 90 days, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price, as well as the additional shipping amount necessary to return the defective tube to me.
