Personally, I am rather fond of the looks of some of Josh Stippich's Electronluv giant creations.

I failed to find photos of his speakers, but I did find some tube amps that wouldn't fit in the trunk of the average car.

I checked the main website and they've closed up shop it looks like.

Hopefully I wont get to lambasted for this opinion!

That was an informative journey through modern art via loudspeaker! Why cant sexy speakers look like speakers? I think well made speakers with nice wood veneers are pretty sexy in their own right! I guess I'm just old fassioned and I never got around to watching enough Star Trek!

They never were on his site that I saw. Most of his creations were on others' sites and show reports.

Those are some ugly speakers, with the exception of the B&W and perhaps the space age looking Bang and Olufsen.

I guess I am on both sides of the fence when it comes to audio gear. I like both the nostalgic and creative sides.

I am with you on this.

Actually, I really dislike the whole modern look, especially modern art-ish. Classic Tannoys have a much more appealling look through my eyes.

Jeff, I don't think you deserve to be lambasted at all. Some of those are just way over the top with what appears to be "form" coming first and "function" a distant second. Although, the two arrays are very sexy (the glass one and the red "bullet" one).

Josh, I have seen those horns. Yea, they're pretty sexy indeed. But what are the things up top (in the rear)?
They look like old fashion police car lights.

Yea Josh, the thread's more about "the sexy factor" as opposed to what sounds the best.
Sometimes in life you just have to eat a big heaping spoonful of icing, right out of the bowl, if you know what I mean.

The 3-way sphere is a design I've dreamed of myself whilst looking at my Gallos. That metal armature is really clunky looking, though. A perfectly good opportunity to make them look like a snowman and they wasted it!

Nathan, the armature does look like crap. However, the ability to move them around independently of each other would be interesting to experiment with. I suppose that was the goal they had in mind as the photos do show them with the tweeter shifted to the side in one image.

Actually, I stole those images off Romy's site (not stolen, linked) and in one of the threads he actually said they look like droopy female anatomy.
