on my first trip to CES, we where walking the Strip and noticed several scantly clad ladies in white go go boots coming and going from one particular hotel. On further examination, we discovered the Adult Film and Video group where holding their annual convention. That's probably the only thing that will get me to attend CES again.

Paging through the stereophile report, you really get a sense as to how ridiculous audio has become.
Most of my customer base is over the age of 50. In twenty years most current audiophiles will be dead. If we are going to have a high-end audio industry we have to start cultivating the next generation now.

The numbers do not lie. Either we will see a large group of people who are not audiophiles, become so, or we will not have anything like the current high-end audio industry in 20-30 years.

I think he meant, he hopes he is not dead in 20 years. I am 33, I hope I am not either.
Still 42 in kicking down here. I can tell you for sure that very few of my customers are under 30. I do have a good handful of sales to the 30 to 40 year old crowd, but most are over 40. I have been working with high school kids the last four years or so (see junior audiophile circle) and it is really cool watching them discover high end audio and learning just how good it really can get. It is hard to say how many of that small group will grow up to really love an appreciate music enough to become one of us audiophiles, but I bet it is still very few.
Reading some of the reports from this years CES, seems Sennheiser has a very good new product..... the HD 800......
