I am posting this in both AVA and ACI because this is a positive testimonial for each.
I have a new neighbor and we have a lot in common. He likes the same music I do, loves concert videos, like to stand and grove to the music and best of all, he is hard of hearing
(I am sure my time will come)
Yes, if you continue to listen at levels that require a 30A speaker fuse, you certainly will find your time has come.

What turkey said. At 53, I wish I had not listened to music so loud when I was younger. Trust me, it doesn't hurt, you don't know it's happening. And then your ears are ringing. It sucks.

Hey guys, lets not take this post in the listening level direction! It is not about my listening levels or what I may be doing to my ears! It is a testament of how good these two local companies build equipment. Also if you read my post fully, you will read the real reason I put 30 amp fuses in my amp!
Yes, I got tired of blowing 4 and 5 amp fuses, but the real reason is the gauge of the metal in the fuses that are music travels through, just like are thoughts/beliefs in the gauge of the power cord and speaker cables we use!
Frank builds in protection as he should, but I feel he publicly keeps his cool about his sound and build quality, as he should, that is why we are here, not to overrate it, just to tell it like it is, and this thread is about how great it is and another way one uses AVA products.
My goal has always been to achieve a concert sound/feel in my living room and being that I don’t go to concerts any more ( they are all getting old and passing away) so every once in a while I have them perform in my living room!
This is a post of how well these 2 companies build equipment that can hold up to extremes and I just so happen to be a guy that pushes them to the extreme every once in a while and they can take it!
Also, when I am listening at concert levels, I am not in the direct path of the speakers, I am above and 15 feet back and most of the time and because I have guest, I/we are off center. Yes, it is still loud, but smooth and full, better then a live amplified concert!
As I have read these posts for quit a while now, I have not read any about pushing the limit, so I thought I would post that I am one that does.
If anyone ever doubts the build quality of AVA, don’t, his products are superb and hold up to the extreme, trust me!
Another part of my post is the fact that I feel, I don’t know why, but the sound in my room seems to be best in a standing position! I thought how cool it would be to put my couch on a 1 foot high platform, but I know I could never get that but the wife factor!
I might lower my speakers, but there is more to it then that with the subs. It all just sounds so huge standing up near my back wall.
I also do not do this often and I have many other things currently in my life that I know are also not good for my ears, heck, I was a drummer playing 5-7 nights a week for over 8 years many years ago, I am sure that was not good!
Martyo, yes my equipment list is correct except lacking my woofer speaker wire which is 12 gauge Stinger silver stranded. Very nice wire.
Cheers!
P.S. My wife yelling at me to turn it down hurts my ears more then anything!
