EAC to FLAC Problems
« on: 3 Jan 2009, 11:58 pm »
I have just started ripping my CD's.  Some of the tracks end prematurely.  Anyone seen this before?

I have not experienced that problem, but I have had problems with some tracks "hanging" during the conversion process.

I've had that problem too.  I'm tempted to send the whole collection out to a service.

I had some problems with EAC.. Then I switched to dBpoweramp.  My ripping has been faultless ever since.  Best $30 I ever spent!

Here's another guide.  http://av123forum.com/showthread.php?t=21446

Do you clean your CD before inserting it into the drive?  Sometimes this helps with error correction hang ups.  I've founf that soemtimes I can skip a track, finish ripping that album, clean the disc, and re-rip just that track and it works great.
