Any guesses? No, it's not Bose. It really should be speaker of the decade, and yes, I own a pair. I'm just happy to see that the high end is getting some main stream recognition.

what would it sound like if you used two sets of speakers at the same time,the Maggy 3.6's with Danny's new OB big driver speaker.would your system sound scrambled or fried,the speed of a panel and big bass of the OB's

do some people actually use more than one set of main speakers ????

Ahhh Maggie's, my first high end love affair.
The 20's are a speaker that helped bring tears to my eyes. I've rarely since heard a speaker melt away walls in a house like those.
If I ever have the space for the 3's or 20's and an infinite baffle bass setup, I'd sure love to try that, might be a resting place.

The 3.6's and 20/20.1's both have really withstood the test of time. Set them up right and the sound is engaging and energizing. They're hard not to love.

Prob not...I couldn't get the wee MMG's to behave in my 12 x 15' room a year ago. They are a bit physically imposing as they are wide'ish (relative to more modern designs), but they really need a lot of room to do their stuff front and back.

Glorious little sounds those mylar ribbons make.....especially the 'real' ribbon tweets on the 3.6 and 20.

A 20 x 20' (dedicated) or bigger listening room, 200 stiff watts, a Maggie 3.6 or 20 and a Merlot sounds great right now

You'd need a big space....those 20's are ...large.

Ive heard the 3.6's and no doubt they're great speakers but for less that 1/2 the price I would purchase a pair of MMG's and have them "gunned" http://indiespinzone.com/magnestand.html I've had the pleasure of hearing the SMGA's and 1.6's and both sounded truly extraordinary, (I actually preferred the sound of the SMGA's) the stock versions don't even come close. The only reason I don't own a pair is because of the waf

Although the MMG's aren't that big they do have a tendency to stand out and my wife didn't like the looks of the panels in our family room. I do look forward to the day when I can purchase a pair - Whenever that may be

For the 3.6s no problem IMO. Harry Pearsons Maggie room is NO larger and they sound marvelous there. We had the 3As in a room 14 x 18 with no problem either. Just bring plenty of power and your in for a treat.

I agree. My room is 15x18 and is open on the left. The speakers are along the longer wall and I use room treatments. Because of the line-source dipole polar response pattern (a figure 8 with little side dispersion), the distance to the wall behind the speakers is more critical than the side walls. One can also experiment with the option of being able to swap the left/right speakers, effectively moving the tweeter to the inside or outside.

bought a set of MMG's on ebay today and was going to get them drop shipped to pgunn for his mods.the seller tells me he can't drop ship but only send to the address ebay shows here in Canada,,,,hummmmm not sure what to do?? don't want to ship them across the border three times

Good luck with Peter's mods. I've heard (read) great reviews about it. Which wood are you going for, and does this include the crossover upgrade?

that Peter guy with his mods are 4 months back,you know how that goes,,4 turns into 6 months fast.wood and x-over will be close to 2k. hope it turns out.i hate waiting for things.there is a new pair of 1.6's up here for sale i will look into to give the maggies a spin.
