My wife and I went to the 11:30 AM showing of Quantum of Solace this morning. I will be very interested to read the reviews of all my peers here on AC that go to this movie. Unfortunately, both my wife and I were disappointed and were ready for the movie to end 30 minutes before it finally did. James Bond Movies have always been filled with over the top action but they normally have a decent plot. The plot in Quantum of Solace is razor thin, if there is one at all. Some of the special effects were good but many of the action scenes were shot with hand held cameras and the footage was jerky, to be kind. My wife said this was the worst James Bond Movie she has seen and unfortunately I would agree. It is not that I don't like Daniel Craig because I really liked the last Bond Movie. This one was just disappointing for both of us. I will give it 2.5 out of a possible 5 stars and only that for the action. Again, I will be very interested in your ratings and reviews of this film.Ken

It's a 3 hour round trip to Burlingtion's Majestic 10 with roller reclining seating in a stadium type room with a very very good DTS sound system. My local theaters have flipdown seating with a guaranteed head in the way plus I always needed an aisle seat just so I'd have a place for my legs. On other hand, a NY RAVE is a 8-9 hour round trip and when you throw in the food & beer, you have an apples/oranges comparison my friend. Cheers,Robin

No one else ventured out to see this movie this weekend?Ken
Saw the movie over the weekend. Thought it was quite okay especially compared to the high bar set by casino royale. The plot is a bit thin, and the director seemed to make up for it by adding loads of chases, action, and explosions. Movie moves at breakneck speed ... Daniel Craig, to me atleast, is the best bond. And i much prefer the way newer bond movies are made. I can hardly sit through the older bond movies. I guess they were good for their time, but they don't seem to age well.I'd rate this a 6.5/10.
