Hey Kenreau!! I'm far from an expert, and haven't purchased a SB yet, but I have MediaMonkey installed on my desktop and laptop, and I believe it'll convert large batches of files from one format to another pretty easily. I'd imagine it will probably take a while with the number of files you have, but it's free s/w, and in my utterly unscientific sampling of a couple of media players in my previous setup, I thought music sounded the best on MM.
