The winning bidder is from Australia.....
I enjoyed reading the buyer questions. Some interesting technical responses, especially his explanation of AB, which reveals some secrets about the design. Check it out before the ad is finished and removed. I saved it as .mht file.

Yeah, the questions and answers were my favorite part of the auction. Carver lost me at times with some of his answers to questions. But that's why he has a Ph.d in physics and I'm an idiot. I'm ignorant with computers, so how do you save it as .mht file?
Did you see the two other auctions ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180259377833http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180249243449

From what Chris linked us to, it appears Mr. Carver has sold a least 3 of these wonderful mono amps in the past few months. He apparently has a large supply of vinatage stuff to be turning these out. Am I reading that correctly?

Am I reading that correctly?I think you're right, he hinted about that talking about his craftsman builder working on other amps.ltr317, when you have a webpage full of pictures and fancy formatting you can capture the whole thing in a container file, pictures, links and all. It is only one file and it will open exactly like the original which is actually a presentation of several files so is otherwise hard to save. Once you are on the page you wanna save, pull down File | Save As... Then set "Save as type" to Web Archive, single file (.mht). It is handy sometimes when there is text, graphics and formatting that you wanna preserve as one file. It will open in a web-browser. more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MHTMLI tried saving the page with .mht suffix, but I keep getting an error that it can't be saved. Any thoughts?
