Scheherazade - Renaissance - Scheherazade And Other Tales

 :thumb:

I thought I was the only one listening to her.  What an amazing voice.  I just looked up Annie Haslam and she has a new CD out. http://cdbaby.com/cd/haslam  I just ordered it.

Nope!

Another huge Renaissance fan here!

Annie has been doing a lot of painting lately. I had the pleasure of meeting her at NEARfest a few years ago, what a pleasure!

A few of my favs are;

Yes - Close to the Edge, Relayer

ELP - Tarkus

Genesis - Suppers Ready

King Crimson - Larks's Tongue in Aspic, part 1, Fracture

Can't forget the Italians;

P.F.M. - L'Isola di Niente

Banco - Canto Nomade Per Un Prigioniero Politico

Three of my favorites:

"Telegraph Road", Dire Straits, from "Love Over Gold"  (The studio version is longer and I think better than the live version from Alchemy, mentioned previously)

"Flame Sky", by Devadip Carlos Santana, from "Welcome" (Mahavishnu John McLaughlin also plays on this album.  How can you go wrong?)

And another that I can't believe hasn't been mentioned yet...

"The Medley" (i.e. "You Never Give Me Your Money" followed by "Sun King" followed by "Mean Mr Mustard" followed by "Polythene Pam" followed "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" followed by "Golden Slumbers" followed by "Carry That Weight" followed by "The End" - this continuous piece clocks in at around 16 minutes), by The Beatles, from "Abbey Road".
