The new album is not my favoirte Franti work but it is pretty solid. Stay Human and Everyone Deserves Music are really, really good

The best live recording of Bob Marley can be found easily on the 'net for free...

i think archive.org might still have it.

Its from the early 1970's, maybe '74, and was recorded by KSAN in san Francisco at their legendary offices
called the Record Plant...in Sausalito

I wish there were more like this!!!

Dude, you are oh so right....I just listened to that recording and it is indeed righteous!

I definitely like most the Bob Marley recordings on the Island Label (Tuff Gong has vinyl with a strange texture), with Uprising being my favorite.

I love live reggae and here are a few of my favorite recordings that capture the energy of the performance.

Live at Reggae Sunsplash - Yellowman
Live at Reggae Sunsplash: Since I Throw the Comb Away - Twinkle Brothers
In Concert: The Best of Jimmy Cliff (Live)
Live - Toots & The Maytals

I have seen may reggae concerts in my life, and I would have to say that Toots and the Maytals put on the best show.  I always wanted to see Third World, but when I finally saw them it was a disappointment.  Steel Pulse is decent, but Toots blows them off the stage.  The Gladiators, Mutabaruka, and Eek a Mouse are also excellent live performers.

Don't they all sound fine when you're stoned?  :)

It's been about a dozen years since I touched the wacky weed (don't really need it now, I'm quite high enough on life), but they all sounded vaguely the same (WONDERFUL) alongside my QP baggie, cheese steak stromboli or pizza and my favorite hooka
