Names used in the industry.. 95% of them have already been used including the ones you like below

Genesis has been used a billion times and is the name of a company itself...

Zu audio is currently using "Revolution" as its tag on american audio. and its just too common and has been used on many audio product lines I have seen...

California audio used Sigma series

Evolution is KRELL and was a Conrad johnson product

Enigma
 is a speaker line and is the newer Acoustic reality ICE Module amps see links below

http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/acousticreality/enigma.html

http://thebestacoustics.com/ENIGMA.php

Stellar audio is a component Rack made by omnimount and also I have seen "Stellar Acoustics" as a company. Beyond that it just kinda sounds cheesy

Aurora audio makes pro studio equipment

I say jump on Euphoria nobody used it until after this somebody will!! Its a sense of feeling, state of mind, nothing like it,  A different level of conciousness..Zen so to speak, thinking beyond the limits of reality..
nothing explains it better!

I like IronLion's "Orator" it rolls off the tongue nicely. It also would work with Salk's new speaker, which looks like a sculpture of "The Orator" Maybe you both could use it to mutual benefit. Googling would pull both sites. aa

Veracity

Truth - nothing added, nothing taken away.

(and we've had Transcendence, Ultra...  It's time for a V).

Gee, Veraticy seems like a really great name, wonder where I might have heard that before?

Do you think Jim Salk might mind?  :)

Regards,

Frank

P.S.  Thanks Undertow for eliminating a few names already in use.

So folks, what do you think of "Euphoria"?  That is indeed where the new equipment will put you.  Just asking, no final determination yet.
Got my head down designing new circuit boards right now.

Zu Audio currently does not have any product named "Revolution". Their statement is " A revolution in American HiFi..." Wow.

I am sure if one digs deep enough, he may find some odds and ends in the audio industry called "revolution" but there wouldn't be many.

Finding a name for something is difficult. Finding some oddball words for a genuine product is not the key. After all, would you name your kids with some oddball names so everyone in school would laugh at him or her while he or she's trying to explain what's the meaning of their names?

So far, we've seen enough names that are stars related. Why do most people like to compare something good to a star? It's not a luxury car for crying out loud. Even NASA didn't name their space shuttles after a star.

Too common of a name wouldn't work either, and I don't see naming a product "revolution" is being too common.

Eh--it sounds a little too touchy-feely to me.  I'd prefer the more simple and straightforward "Revolution" moniker myself--even though I'm the second to suggest it.  (Had I not done beta-testing w/ people in my office, I would have likely been first!)

I definitely think you should go with whatever I suggested.  Just now I can't remember what all I suggested, but I'm sure whatever it was would be ideal.

To the gent who suggested the name "Obsolete."  Yeah...that's not really gonna fly, is it.  The new AVA Obsolete Series? Yowza.

FUSHION keeps running through my head. As in the seamless partnering of the electronics with the music. Or ones ears with the music. The Fusion Preamp  :thumb:

Man sorry if these are already posted, you guys have been busy.  A quick trip to the latin dictionary gives us:
Perspicuus = Transparent
Lucidus = Lucid, coherent
Aperio = clear
Statim - immediate, or immediately

The Van Alstine Aperio series   It could happen....

REVOLUTION, many audio products have used it, not that I care however currently Clear Audio turntables has their Revolution turntable

http://www.dejavuaudio.com/ANALOGUE-CLEARAUDIO-REVOLUTION.HTM

and there is the Boostaroo Revolution headphone amp

http://www.boostaroo.com/store_detail.php4?id=5

There is M-Audios 5.1 and 7.1 Revolution hi end PC cards now being used much in the PC based audio systems with USB Dacs etc…

And then if you want to get into the big Dogs.. Tannoy Revolution Signature speakers and surround products

And there is the Revolution Roller bearings and tweaks etc…

Then I read everyday something in Hifi or Audio "Revolution" is occuring or coming out..

ICON??????????? the film industry has taken that name already, also, I have enough icons on my computer desktop, I don't need another one.

VIBE??????????? Is it good VIBE or bad VIBE?

Coherency...????.....(busted out laughing)....it almost sounds like "currency"....try to say "coherency" ten times very fast after you've had a few beers then you'd know it's not a good name for an amplifier.

Let's not try to be overly creative, such effort may become humorous.

"revolution" man, what a fantastic name for fine stereo components, the Audio by Van Alstine Revolution series. A few years later, let it be the Revolution II series.

So what if there are a few audio pieces named "revolution"?

Maybe it's a name that audiophiles like all over the world, it may actually increase the sale for Frank.

Come on, a name needs to be not sounding funny, easy to remember, and mean something to the product.

Actually, revolution has a profound meaning to preamp, and amp, not to  turntable, speaker and ball bearing.
