With all due respect, this is not a scattershot approach. In keeping with the Greek alphabet theme, I looked a what might be appropriate. The obvious counterpoint to Omega would be Omicron, meaning small. As in small impact on the sound ie., getting out of the way of the signal, or music. Looking further, Tau would also be an interesting alternative. The Tau, in circuitry design, signifies the time constant, acknowledging that the Tau series maintains the timing and coherance of the signal.

This spawned an interesting thought about a similar sounding name that might be more enigmatic and paradoxical, the Tao.
"Lao Tzu begins the Book of Tao by telling us that the Tao, the absolute, cannot be defined with words. He says we must look for it."
Other descrptions of the Tao are 'the way' and 'the all and the nothing'. Entirely appropriate when describing superlative audio componentry.

Lets keep it simple

The Audio by Van Alstine PREAMP
The Audio by Van Alstine DAC, etc
You can always use Mark 1, Mark II etc for future products.

Get rid of AVA and use your good name. Remember KFC!

I like SS-Ultra Amplifier.  That doesn't seem confusing to me.

I'm looking forward to receiving my free SS-Ultra!!

The 'Ascension Series'. The 'A', of course relating to ampere, as the O symbol for ohm.

In astronomy, ascension means the rising of a star above the horizon. Seems fitting.

That would make the different lines the Ascension, Transcendence, and Ultra. Seems fitting, too. The Differential is just that.

Thanks, Frank,

Jerry

What do you say we look at the typical customer this equipment is aimed at? Then...

Call it the FBF series.

You know, (F)at, (B)ald, & (F)orty.

It fits me! Every other audio nut I know too!!   :icon_lol:  8)

How about: AresStar

Like NASA’s step forward in technology (from Shuttle to the new Ares vehicle), AVA is also taking a step forward in technology.

It also has SS (solid state) in the name not to confuse it with its tube counterparts.

AresStar: Old style performance delivered by the latest technology

Let's try "Sultra." That would be a play on words between "Sultry" (passionate, attractive, arousal, sensual, sexy, voluptuous, erotic, seductive) and "Ultra" which Frank currently refers to his top equipment.
You'd then have the "Sultra Series", which sounds kind of nice and implies that the Solid State equipment is approaching that of the Ultra Series.
Just my $0.02 worth,
Ron

You could go with Stellar, the definition seems to fit rather well.

Main Entry: stel·lar
Pronunciation: \ˈste-lər\
Function: adjective
Etymology: Late Latin stellaris, from Latin stella star
Date: circa 1656
1 a: of or relating to the stars : astral b: composed of stars
2: of or relating to a theatrical or film star <stellar names>
3 a: principal, leading <a stellar role> b: outstanding <a stellar performance>

How about the Latin adjective invictus (unconquerable, invincible, unsubdued)?  You could go with the feminine form invicta, but people my age might think of an old Buick instead.  Then again, that might not be so bad either...the next best thing to a Cadillac, which I presume would be an Ultra differential system. aa
