I'm betting on standalone Ribbon line (needle) arrays that can go down to 80Hz and be crossed over by a couple of Larger subs.
At least that's my hope... :)
That would be a sweet setup with a really high WAF.

After last years very ambitious introduction, and the production difficulties that ensued, I'd bet on an overperfoming, smaller scale system...

Maybe an RM/X style cabinet for the RM40's?

I would doubt that... the cabinet is so expensive and difficult to produce it would raise the price almost to the Rm/x.  Only savings would be cost of two neo panels and 10" vs 12" woofers and PRs.   Keeping the RM-40 in a plain "box" keeps the cost reasonable.

On the other hand, the SuperTower III SRE may be ready for a redesign which would benefit from the carved cabinet.  How about a "Supertower X" which would keep the four 12" woofers and PR in a "box" subwoofer cabinet for corner placement and a separate tall, narrow ribbon array in an RM/x style enclosure for eight neo panels and a FST?  And an outboard crossover for eacn channel (TRT of course) designed for biamping.

Build it and they will come... :singing:

I say let's wager that the winner of this speculation frenzy wins the product in question... :)

The "Best of CES" contest rules prevent me from unveiling my new products before December 1.  Yes, we're going for the threepeat but don't expect to get it regardless of how we sound.  It would reek more than a little.  However, being named one of the three Finalists would be nice!!

BTW everyone's close...

Should I have waited until after Dec. 2nd before placing my RM-40 order?

Based on the the Mark Schifter/Brian Cheney meeting next Monday, I'd say the timing is about right to work out cabinetry details for a new product intro. for CES....

I'm also hoping for a line array that goes down to 80hz.

Nothing planned for this year's CES is better than, or supercedes, the RM40, so don't cancel any orders...
