For sale, one pair of Daedalus DA-1 speakers made from solid oak boxes with walnut front panels.

These are perhaps the best looking speakers I've ever seen, much less owned, but with two other pair of speakers already in the house and another pair ordered, something has to give.
The are not the current DA-1.1s (not sure the differences), but believe the retail price was $6400 vs. $6800 for a pair of 1.1s.
These speakers are also offered with matching pair of oak
speaker isolation stands, a $300 option.
The sound is very open with an expansive soundstage; detailed, yet forgiving. These were my longtime favorite holiday speakers in that they were forgiving enough to enjoy some of my less-than-stellar seasonal recordings, but not at the sacrifice of detail and dynamics. They respond equally well to low-powered tube and high-powered SS amplifiers, but my favorite Daedalus amp was the Butler Audio Monad monoblocks. However, they performed surprisingly well with the Spectron Musician III Signature Edition.
The specifications listed below are for the current 1.1 model, but I believe the specs for mine are
very similar.

The original shipping containers were not very solid and were trashed in-transit. Consequently, I will be willing to meet potential buyers within 4-hours driving distance (one way) of area code 39705. Should the speakers require shipping, buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs, including materials and insurance. They're heavy (100+ lbs ea.), so I'd much prefer a local pick-up/meet.
Thanks for looking.
