Hello all ,

anyone built this DACT CT101 line stage module yet ? I have some batteries I need to put to use . Looks like a simple design with sensible gain to it .

I had one of these a couple years ago and was VERY impressed with it's resolution, speed, transparency and image stability. It does put quite a few transistor pre-amps to absolute shame that are above the $2k mark. Perhaps the simplicity of the circuit is what makes it sound so good? My understanding is that it sells much better in Europe than here in the states.

Your telling me.    They don't sell well at all in the US.

I was interested in the CT101 too as a buffer (zero gain) for my passive preamp but couldn't find much information regarding people's impressions about it.  Kevin, you should have a fire sale and get rid of those circuit boards that are just taking up space.   You might get at least two sales

The other one I considered was the Welborne mini-amp.  In the end, however, I am just sitting tight since the impedences between my DAC and amp are so good that I am doubtful that a buffer would help matters much, if at all.

"Note: We do not keep large volumes of inventory of the Active DACT parts due to low demand. Lead times on these products are often in the 4-6 week time frames."

Kevin , is this true ? 4-6 weeks ? I want to order this but will pass on the 4-6 week status .

I just ordered the CT101 line stage module and DACT 10K attenuator . I have a surplus of 12V 17AH batteries that will get a new home . I'm going to give the CT101 a huge dual mono battery power supply . And some fat capacitors to lower the power supply impedance .

I was looking at the Joshua Tree remote attenuator but is sold out . New design underway . I've been wanting a preamp with no gain (unity) . My current tube preamp has 24db of gain and 24db of noise on top of that . Which is waaaay to much for a CD source . I will let you guys know when I get it all together .

TomW16 , I found a good price on the DACT CT 101 .  http://www.soundlabsgroup.com.au/c/DACT/DACT.html  . Price was $215 U.S. dollars plus shipping . Plus it was in stock . I received 3 emails confirming shipment and customer satisfaction .

I almost pulled the trigger on the Prometheus C-core TVC . I'm glad I went with the DACT now . Less wire to have the signal run through . I would love to hear that Promy though . I bet it is sweet with all the rave reviews on the standard models .
