RIPPER Hum Reduction

I worked out a better wiring scheme for the RIPPER phono input.  I cuts the hum levels a bit.  You just have to install some resistors in a wierd way:

First install the 47k input resistors R34 from their input holes to the common big ground hole in front of the IC.  The do the same thing for the 316 ohm R27 gain setting resistors.  It looks funny, but does make an audible improvement.

I just knew there was a reason I was taking three months to build my Ripper!
Thanks for the mod, Jim.

No, there are no ac power supply currents on the board.

Since I'll have mine open again, I may just do this mod.  Any reason not to?

Also, can you clarify that the R27s are connecting their output to the ground, while the R34s are connecting their input to the same ground?

Thanks!
