Party at Marks!
Personally, I've love to come over and hear your setup since you've made so many changes to it (did I just invite myself over?).
Actually we were planning on doing a Christmas in late April gathering over here to make up for the last disaster. We haven't talked about a firm date yet but I thought by then things will have warmed up pretty well (read=no threats of snow). We could listen to some tunes, char some critters on the grill and suck down copious amounts of suds. I'm afraid Sturgus may have to get a ride with somebody as it seems that when he enters Franklin County, his vehicles become possessed and inflict damage upon themselves.

I'll be featuring the revamped sonographe/SME/Clearaudio setup and the b-p-t 2.0 cleaning things up on the stats. Anyone else? Hey MerRev; you better get a few nights out with the boys before the big wedding. Ichinichi; you want to make the big drive out west??? So far it's just Scott, so we need at least one other person to keep the soldering iron out of our hands

thanks for the invite Mark- of course I would like to hear the stats and see the Abby's but I'm unfortunately tied up this Friday. And, now that you have a Squeezebox it would be interesting to listen to the differences with the Droplet.

Squeezebox is in Texas being modded==the secret "frazzalator reclocker" or something like that. I'll be sure to let you know when that comes back in and we'll listen to it and the Droplet.

That SuperDac would be cool. We'll use it to feed the Yamamoto headphone amp and let you hear the AT 1000 cans. Be sure to wear something that will compliment the red tones of the Yammie and AT.

Hey Mark, did you see this from the Innersound website?
Effective February 11, 2008, Innersound has ceased operations.
Our deepest thanks go to our many clients and discerning listeners who have purchased
our premier line of loudspeakers & electronics over the last several years.
As an accommodation to our clients, Roger Sanders, the original designer and innovator
of the Innersound electrostatic loudspeaker (and owner of Sanders Sound Systems) has
graciously agreed to provide service and support for Innersound products on a non-warranty basis.
For all future service or parts requirements please contact:

You know, I had a feeling something like this was coming up. When Roger Sanders came out with a full line of electronics similar to my stuff, I said "Good for him". But when he just released his new Electostat hybrid, I knew that innersound must be out. No company would let their former chief designer go into business for himself with a complete copy of their products. Non competitve clauses and the like. I'm sorry about innersound, but glad that Roger's back in action at

The local pizza place is gone, so maybe you better pick something up on the way.
NOW, do you want the Eros set up for near-field or far-field?

Bump for Friday night. Scott's bringing over the little USB superDac and I've got both systems ready to use if we feel like it.

Wish I could make it fellas but I am having work done at the house. The painters will be there until late in the day. Hope you guys enjoy. I was thinking about going to Record exchange next Fri. eve. Maybe stopping and having a burger and beer and scoring a little vinyl. Let me know if anyone would like to tag along.

Hey Mark,
I think I can swing it. I need a break from work, alderman crap and everything else lately. I haven't heard your rig in ages.
I would say the appropriate complimentary color would be a nice sage green of which I have none. I'd prefer the stats in left field if that's OK with you.
I have nothing else to bring but my ears and some new tunes.
What time would be good or Scott, do you want to drive together?

6:30ish is fine. I'll let the color issue slide this time. Don't blame me if the headphones clash with your shirt in the pictures.
No Heinekegger this time, but I'll pick up some diet for Scott and a few brews for you Steve.
Sturgus, next Friday eve. might work out for me. I'll let you know next week.

Steve,
Sure, lets drive out together. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Marks house from mine. Wanna meet out here about 5:30 or 5:45?
Sturg,
I was down there just a couple of weeks ago. I scored some nice vinyl and also two pairs of really cool Hi-E (raw) coax speakers. One is a pair of Teledyne 8"ers and the other pair some 12" Utah's. Don't have a clue what they sound like but they were nice and cheap.

Wish I could join you fella's. I know you'll have a great time. Scott, I've got the April Christmas bass penciled in.
Scott, just curious did you ever get around to measuring the Wolverines?
I accomplished a few audio projects this winter. I converted the dynaclone 35 over to triode mode. I finally got my CD-PRO2 transport together, pretty sweet. I just ordered the power tranny for my 2a3/45/300b SET amp (the last piece of the puzzle) after 3 years of gathering parts I can finally put this thing together. I picked up one of the Walmart yard master extension cords the other night to make a pair of speaker cables too.
