Those tube integrated amps are from MaRKHILL Holdings....

I'd like to know that as well. Markhill doesn't give prices and I don't see any tube amps at the link you proved.

i'd definitely get the mc100b, for several reasons.  first of all, the lildot doesn't have tubes, so that one is out.   :wink:  between the other two, the 100b is dual mono, has adjustable bias, and can be run either triode or ultralinear.

you can get one for ~$500 shipped via surface mail, or ~$600 shipped via airmail, if patient:

but, the mc10l can be gotten ridiculously cheap, if patient, (<$250 shipped surface mail; <$375 shipped airmail); & it looks as tho the latest iterations allow for tube biasing:

The Little Dot does have tubes - (EF91/CV138)on the pre-stage PCB.  Tripath with tubes in front can sound very nice.

Of the two tube units with pictures, the corresponding prices I posted were from a Canadian supplier who offers a warranty and servicing here in Canada instead of having to ship the unit back overseas.  Buying an amplifier in Canada will cost more initially as shipping it to North America is built in.  Having it shipped out of Canada instead of Hong Kong means it will ship much quicker to its final destination.  It also means warranty related issues will not be as cumbersome as having to ship the unit back to Hong Kong as.  The Canadian vendors warranty is as follows...

· One month for the vacuum tubes;
· One year for the system (vacuum tubes not included);
· Two more years repairing without labor charge;
· Warrantee duration effective from 10 days after shipping date;
· Buyer pays all necessary shipping costs (including return) to our service center in the area of Toronto, ON, Canada.

ya, i know, the lildot has a tube pre, but its amp is s/s...  for some, that's ok, for me, i prefer tubes; ymmv.

you are correct that you will always (usually always?) get better service for the higher price paid to an importer, as opposed to buying direct from the source.  at these prices, tho, i would choose to buy direct; if i had any problems, i would yust pay for the repairs out of pocket, to a local tech.  in that case, i would still likely be no worse off financially as if i'd paid a higher initial price.  and, i would have less hassle yust taking it to my local tech; dealing w/the importer as it is, i would still have to ship to toronto, in this case.  still a hassle & expense.  now, if i lived in toronto...   8)

Thank you so much for posting that Little Dot T150. I have been searching around for a tube hybrid integrated for a while that could offer around 150 watts and all the ones I have found are over $1000 so I was just going to go with a tube pre and separate SS amps. I am upgrading to Mark and Daniel Rubies at the end of the year and needed something like this to power them but this is half the price.

Right on!  Let us know how you like it.  NOS CV138 tubes by Amperex, Mullard and Seimens are very inexpensive.  Usually $5 a pop from what I have seen.

Ohh nice thanks for the tip I will be ordering when tax refund comes in about a week hopefully.  :D

I ordered a Little Dot T-100, why not?  It's cheap and from what I have heard sounds decent.  It should arrive any day, but one of my speakers has an issue necessitating a rebuild, so you might be listening to yours before I get to hear mine.

Lol I just noticed something from the pictures of the Little Dot T150 and T100. How does one change the source? All it has it volume and power button. Is it psychic and knows what source you want to play?  :lol:

Remote control!

Remote control!

Ohh haha guess I have never seen an integrated or pre where you can only change source with remote. It would suck if you lost the remote. :(

Wind Chaser

Hardly.  Just buy a new one.

RAW

I have the Little Dot T from the shoot out i purchased it from Danny.
Love it.This amp drives our Apex III with out a hick up nothing.

Local to the distributor I emailed and asked for someone to contact me about the new 150.12weeks so far no response.

Wind Chaser

Al, try calling him.  If you leave a message, he'll get back to you.

I thought about asking you if you'd like to sell yours, but I lucked out as Obad had one T-100 left.  I've got some NOS Mullards on the way from Argentina.

RAW

Yes I may just do that.
Yes you had a listen to this one here, be interested to see what you think of the tube change in the 100 :thumb:
