First attempt to treat my living room is a great success!

Thanks to all of those who made terrific suggestions (Brian, Glenn, Ethan, Duke). I have this free-standing 8' wall behind my listening seat (couch), and my head is nearly 3' from it. The room is large with no real corners or even first reflection (side) points so consensus was to treat the walls behind my speakers and my head (at least). My wife was way less than thrilled

about this so I decided to treat just the wall behind my head (for starters). This helped reduce several bad peaks and valleys at the listening position, smooth out the frequencies overall, and clear up the sound as well ... all after reintegrating my sub. A definite improvement. Well worth the money. The initial plan was to put two panels behind my head but asthetics lead me to this three panel approach.
